Putting the sound to oneside, Lady A were on great form, the two man brass section giving them a funky vibe that gelled well with the songs.
All three artists produce songs of good strong lyrical quality and it beggars belief that the soundmen thought it right to bury that lyricism for the sake of ramping up the guitars and drums. For reasons known only to them the sound engineers over amplified the backing band so vocals were lost in the melee of base rumble and distorted feedback. This should have been great, last date of the UK tour, two great support acts in Brett Young and Kelsea Ballerini (really headliners in their own right) but it was let down by the sound.
